Death Certificate Information
When you meet with your funeral director he or she will complete the required paperwork to request a certified Death Certificate and place an order for the number of copies you need. Death Certificates are processed as quickly as possible. The amount of time it takes depends on several factors including the length of time the doctor takes to complete and certify the Death Certificate and the length of time it takes South Carolina DHEC vital records to print the certified copies.
Death Certificates are hand delivered to the doctor and DHEC by our Stuhr Funeral Home courier in South Carolina. We strive to have them within 7-10 business days.
